I already downloaded PS3 update software (2.01 or something) into my USB flash drive. How do I update my PS3. I got the 80G.

You'll need to copy the ps3 update file into the correct folder on your usb drive. It should go in to folders: PS3/UPDATE
Then in system update on the ps3, the files should be found automatically and copied over for the update to occur.
Make sure the folders are in caps, otherwise the ps3 wont recognise it.

If you saved the update to a USB drive already, just insert the USB drive into the PS3 and go to System Update on the PS3 main menu and press X. And then select update by using USB drive/Storage Media.

that must be an appropriate technique of backing up your records. although, this basically works in case you have decrease than 8GBs of pictures. yet another determination could be an exterior confusing tension. they seem to be slightly extra high priced than a flash tension, and lot bulkier, yet they could keep much extra records.
