Yes because it has an acid chemical that burns them and kills them.

Alcohol can kill just about anything. But I wouldn't recommend Vodka for cleaning away any type of mold. Bleach does not kill mold, only covers it up.
The best was to kill mold is using Borates (Borax).

Don't know about molds. But it does a thorough job killing some of my brain cells.

Seriously, the alcohol in rubbing alcohol (isopropyl) is probably better than the alcohol in vodkay (ethyl) in terms of cleaning up molds.

I don't know about "harmful molds" but I imagine alcohol can kill basic mold such as bread mold.

I am wondering, I used vodka and whisky as a preservative (about 20%) but something was growing in there I am wondering if I should be worried

I would wear a mask and use bleach water and keep the vodka for drinking
