it s always the ones you like that don't like you and the one you don't like that do like you. can someone explain why this is.

Maybe you are going for the wrong type of man. You need to be interested in men that you will have something in common with. Maybe the guys that like you would be nice if you got to know them. So many people like people because of the way they look, but when they get to know them they find out they are shallow and not worth knowing.

Amen, sister! I wish I had an answer for you, but I completely understand. I've been in that boat many a'times. I guess tho that that's the fun part about life. Not understanding it until the perfect man comes along, and you don't understand how someone so wonderful could even notice you, but he loves you back.
*sigh* it'll happen one day, sweetie. just hang tight and don't give everything away to the first guy who tries to sweet-talk you.

that happens to me too. For some reason I always want what I can't have. But if you turn around and realize how great the guy who likes you actually is, you might have a good chance at happiness. Find somebody who knows how valuable you truly are.

It called a coincidence. You like one person out of the 100. Meaning that you have a 1% he'll like you. There are 99 others and a 99% chance someone from there will like you.
So its just odds. If you choose a guy, he could like you.
Also, even if a guy doesn't like you, if you get to know them and i find that if i feel someone likes me, i kinda like them too. Unless they are so revolting that my eyes burn out when i see them.
