Do you take it to the dump or is there somewhere else to take it?

tear it apart. once i did tear apart an 1967 T.V. and found 2 14k gold resistor wires. So what can you find in yours?

Call the company that handles your trash. Ask them if they can do it and how to do it. It's a likely they have a hazardous waste drop off station. There may be a fee involved.

You can dump it, but if it works, donate it to a worthy cause - Goodwill - and feel good about it and get a tax write-off.

If it works, sell it or donate it. Salvation Army or another thrift store will pick it up if it works. Otherwise, call your trash company and see what they suggest.
