I think so in the very distant future because it would take some pretty advanced technology to harness the power of the human body into a "flying device".

There are already wing suits used in base jumping and skydiving and experiments are being carried out by numerous countries with the hope of achieving the first landing without the use of a parachute.

However, using energy from the body to achieve flight is a totally different story but who knows.

It's already been done.

Perhaps the best-known human-powered plane is the Gossamer Albatross, which flew across the English Channel in 1979.

This link talks about the above and more.

Through gene therapy, where the structure of the arms is mutated to be the same as that of the wings of bird, and the same physics can then be used to fly like an eagle!

Does the ignited gas fumes from re-fried beans count as they pass from the human body?

i dont think so. gravity pulls us down too much. maybe it's possible if we have some sort of engine attached to us on our backs to help us up but using only our bodies? no i dont think it's possible.

I don't know. Some of my farts were pretty powerful and I think it lifted me off of my seat a couple of times.
