Activities to do with your partner while in a long distance relationships?

Question

I think the question is pretty self-explanatory, but what are some activities you could do with your partner whether it be offline or online, that doesn't have anything to do with seeing each other in person. Some things we currently do are play games on Yahoo such as checkers, domino's, etc. We also get on cam for each other and just talk to each other in IM while doing that. But I want to try and keep this relationship alive without it getting boring and up until we can see each other for the first time.

And stuff besides phone sex and anything of that nature.

I'm in the same situation as you are. My boyfriend and I live thousands of miles away and can only see on another on our web cams. Fortunately, we both switched over to Verizon Wireless, so we have unlimited calling to one another. We use well over 25,000 minutes a month at no extra cost! It's really great. We both have earpeices so we are pretty much constantly on the phone, during college classes, eating, sleeping, taking baths together, and nearly everything else! Sometimes it gets really hard because we miss each other so much but we cant be together for awhile. So... We just usually talk, play games online like you said yahoo games (we love literati!) and a bunch of others. We also shop together at online stores, or if we have no money we just make wishlists together. We go into chatrooms with our other friends so it's kinda like we are all hanging out. We both have wireless laptops, so we can go all over our houses's with our cams, and we cook together, paint, draw, watch movies and just about anything else. There really isnt any advice I can give you on how to make it easier or what things you should do. I say just do whatever makes you both happy! So long as you are both together, thats really all that matters <3

i've been a long distance with my bf for about 2 years, and our chemistry is still really good. some things we do is we use skype (its sooo much better than regular IM, its web cam at the same time you actually talkin to them....without the typing.) see one another as much as you can. talk to the phone for an hour or so every night, watch the smae movie at the same time while on the phone...ummm what else....make your day "exciting" so you have stuff to talk about over the phone and you'll get into more and more other conversations that could bring in some real laughter. I was once in the same dilemma myself. My bf (now my husband) is in the Army and was in S. Korea while I was here in the states. We did many of the same things you and your man are doing and had a great time. We would also play a game called "This or That." Give two choices and they have to pick one and vice versa. Can be anything. Really helps you learn about each other and grow in your relationship! I would also send my man care packages and he loved them. Just a lil something to show you care.

I go the University of Nevada, and I was dating a girl at Santa Clara. We had the idea to make a book each other could contribute to and pass between us. We each would do 3-4 pages and include anything and everything that reminded us of eachother. movie tickets, a nickle from change from the first date, any little thing. we sent the book through the mail, and it worked great. you look forward to receiving the book and whats inside of it. we ended up completing four books.

Well, since you said "see each other for the first time" obviously you haven't met. In that case, find a boyfriend you actually know and in your area. Go meet him and until then have phone sex or something.

Plan your first visit with each other by going to the websites of different places that you can go to when u meet up, pick out some sexy clothing for each other and buy them, pick out your first dinner recipe together, just get creative

you can still write "old fashioned" letters and send them of by postal service . Make a music cd and send it to him per post / It is always exiting to get "personal " mail from your significant other when apart!

listen to the same music at the same time. or the watch the same movie and talk about it with each other. make exciting plans for the future. send pictures of stuff going on in your life weekly. email sometimes- it will give you something to wait for.
