If you just look at how a lot of people are behaving in this category that alone show that it is having a very negative effect of the harmony of humanity!
The Question and answers that so people are coming up with show very little cerebral activity.
Not only form the religious people but also from so called atheist calling people around their flag of (and this is the strange thing) Belief!
Yes some are starting and counter religion which is only fuelling the fire and not helping to resolve what could end up being a serious problem.
I lost my cool with a question by an Atheist just this evening.
The madness is spreading and it nearly got to me!
Yes religion and secular thinking of any kind is not just bad it's down right evil!

Religion keeps some morals, it gives others an excuse not to be moral. I think the entire absence of religion wouldn't have made too much difference to history. If you eliminated only the bad ones, it would make a huge difference. A lot of good have come from religions like Hinduism and Buddhism, though. Any religion that tells you what to do and what not to do is usually bad news.

As John Lennon once pointed out in his song "imagine", without religion there would be no reason to fight. There would be no wars.
Sadly many religions teach ways other than of love, understanding, and peace.
In this life, "religion" has done more bad than good.
But if that's all we focus on, we're missing the point!! Think about it! But in the next life...I believe there is a God, who sent His son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. It doesn't matter to me if my life is tough because of what I believe, because it will all be worth it some day :)

bad, but then again, being a woman i am a little biased considering all of the agonizing deaths other women were subjected to at the hands of "men of god" and let's not go into genocide, slavery and countless wars all in the name of a nonexistant god.
