you couldnt function properly. there are a lot of things that would happen but over all you would have a defficiency and it would effect everything.. your blood& heart, your brain. your muscles, overall metabolism. hair, nails, skin.. the tissue that covers your organs, it will effect your energy intake and that takes away from how you can digest, think, it effects cell growth.. everything. depends how severe youre talking here, if you think that youre not getting enough protein that could be true but theres protein in everything, even fruits and veggies.. so the above things might not be happening to you right now because you dont eat chicken or steak everynight, thats just what would be effected if your body was pretty much completely deprived of protein

your body needs protein to build muscle. if you don't get enough you will lose muscle mass as the body will consume its own muscle tissue to provide the needed protein. your hair will become brittle and start falling out . you will have swelling in your legs because the protein in the blood helps hold the fluid in the veins without protein the fluid will leak out in to the other cells.

You lose muscle mass and this leaves your body with a higher percentage of fat so you end up looking flabbier. This is typically what happens as we age and the only way to prevent it is to eat plenty of protein and do strength training regularly.

Your body will begin to feed on your muscles to satisfy it's HIGH demand for protein (you use this to do many things including growing hair and nails), your muscles will atrophy, your hair will then, and you'll feel and look like ****.
