serious question. its really cliche but i think im in love. am i? im always thinking about my best guy friend. i never try to impress him, but i think that part goes vice versa... how do i make the first move? are there any indirect ways of asking a guy out without embarassing myself? i dont want to ask him directly for fear of being hurt, but... i think i really like him more than a friend. help!!!

well - 1st of all, you ask if you're in love? I don't think so - not yet. But it could turn to love. You don't say how old you are, or how old 'he' is, but I would venture to say you're both fairly young. Your 2nd question is easy: "How do I make the 1st move?" In todays open society, it is not 'wrong' for a girl to simply ask a friend to a movie, or even to a restaurant for finger food. If you think he feels the same way about you - it will be easy to start just by talking and asking him if he'd like to go out for McDonalds or somethin.... It's a start !! You won't embarrass yourself. In fact, you'll feel good after you do it.... and you won't be hurt. You say you two are friends .... then spend some time together and try and get to know each other better .. and don't be afraid to be yourself. Just don't pretend to be something (or someone) you're not. That will ruin it. No one likes a phoney. Don't come on too strong though ... If you two are good friends, it'll be easy to talk. Let me know how things go .... I care!! R.A.

Nothing feels worse than a lop-sided relationship, for both people. Go slowly, it does hurt to be rejected and it can sometimes ruin a friendship by making the other person feel self-concious if they don't share your feelings.
Try some "almost" innocent flirting, compliments, follwed by light touches on his arm, some playful teasing, and innocent girly stares. If he is interested he will get the message.

Your significant other should be your best friend and your lover...so if your attracted to the person along with the great friendship then this is exactly the kind of person you should be in love with! Hint towards hooking up more than friends and see if the attraction is likewise, if not say you don't want to lose his friendship...

well, i understand that it can be hard, at times it is good to have a best friend that is a guy, and other times you want something more or in that case a relationship. Ask another question like Guys, if you had a best friend and she wanted a relationship, how would u want her to approach you about it.

Try a kiss. If it's going to lead somewheres more then friends the kiss should tell.

hmmm... k just go for it!!! life is a roll of the dice and sometimes you win and sometimes you lose...but if he really is your "best friends" he will love you either way...be by your side even if he doesnt feel the same way back...in other words it wont mess up what you guys have RIGHT NOW
