Just curious to hear what some people have to say because I live in a redneck town where no one drinks anything without the words "bud," "light," or "ice" in them and it makes me sad :(

That's a shame about your Redneck town. You should really try and get out. Just because they are all rednecks doesn't mean you have to be one too.

Back to your question. Right now it's hard to say which is my true favorite. But my top 3 are Brooklyn Lager, Cricket Hill Amber and Smithwicks.

Venture out of town and try some good beer.

Anchor Steam and Anchor Porter. For "mainstream" beers I prefer Samuel Adams and Rolling Rock. If I go to an Irish or German pub with a big selection, I usually end up sampling the ciders, not the beers.

I also live in a town like that. I work in a brewpub and have had people get pissed and walk out because we don't have crap on tap. We have 20 tap lines and the worst thing we have on tap is Newcastle. It is sad that there are so many small minded people that think beer is supposed to be fizzy and yellow and taste like water. I love Stone beers...I have yet to have a beer of theirs I didn't like

My own Home Brew beats all.

Sam Smith's IPA is my favourite pub beer..

Draught Guinness is OK for a change.

Used to like Newky Brown, but I refuse to drink it since they signed Shearer for £15,000,000.

Best German beer is Weissbier.

French Biere de Garde is not bad.

Best of a pretty disgusting selection of American beers is Pabst Blue Ribbon.

British and Irish. Mostly Brown Ales, Stoughts and Porters.

I'm not as big a fan of hops. I like my beers a little sweeter and a little flatter (nitrogen instead of carbon dioxide).

Ex.
Guiness
Boddingtons
Samuel Smiths Oatmeal Stout

Aside from Budweiser, I love a good Dos Equis & Shiner Boch. Those beers are just a little more expensive. LOL
