You are depressed and you need a good caring Christian counselor to help you through this stage in your life. Someone you can trust who will stick and pray for you and help you get up on your own two feet, able to join the battle. Don't live in your feelings. Put your trust in the living words of God. They are truer than your feelings. Read the Bible and pray. You might start with the book of John.

just ask the angels or god to guide you; ask a question out loud and see what answer comes to you. Know that even if you are unaware of the guidance you are receiving, you are always on the right path and everything happens for a reason. so if anything is going wrong in your life, it is probably so you can learn something from it. Believe me, i've learned this lesson many many times that all things that seem bad in your life are really lessons you must learn to move on spiritually. Your soul grows by overcoming challenges and learning new things.
Everyone has a purpose, and you can discover yours by thinking about what is most important to you in your life. What do you like to do best? If you're not sure, you can try meditating. Either sit still and silent for several minutes until you are calm and have a clearer sense of direction. if you are new to meditating, try buying a recorded voice meditation. these can be very helpful in finding your purpose. Just make sure it is supposed to help with finding your center and purpose in life.
Everyone holds a special place on earth, whether you know it or not. Think of all the people who care about you and everyone who you have helped and made a difference in their lives. Doesn't this make you feel like you have a purpose and are special just because you can make someone else's life a little better?
If you still can't find a sense of purpose and meaning, try doing community service or something that is important. this will make you realize that you really do contribute something to the earth. Whether you know your purpose or not, you always make a difference with every choice you make and everything you do.
Good luck finding your purpose and discovering your life's meaning! Much love, Adriana
:)

have had good experience with the ALPHA program. it's a non-denominational look at christianity where you have a free supper and watch a video and break into small groups for discussion where no question is too dumb or hostile. They look at many different topics like
Christianity: Boring, Untrue, and Irrelevant?
Who is Jesus?
Why did Jesus Die?
How can I be sure of my faith?
why and how to I pray
Why and how should I read the bible
How does God guide us
Who is the Holy Spirit
What does the holy spirit do
How can I be filled with the holy spirit
how can I resist evil
Why and how should I tell others
Does god heal today
What about the church
How can I make the most of the rest of my life
if memory serves right, it's a 12 or 13 week course and you meet one night a week.
http://www.alphacanada.org/
it's a canadian site but is actually a program that originates from England
I found it helped me because I was able to get together with other people and explore my faith in God. I've been going through depression too but exploring my faith has deepened my relationship with God and I've found people that I can talk to and have as a support.

You are emotional because tomorrow is your birthday and you feel all alone in the world. That is certainly understandable since you've lost many of your family members. I have lost both my parents and my sister, and I am older than dirt and dinosaurs, but it still hurts just as much as it would if I were your young age. I'm so sorry this has happened to you and that you feel this way, but there is Hope. If you feel as if nobody likes you, you may need to help other people out so you can get outside of YOUR grief and help someone who may be a little worse off than you are. If you are healthy, go visit a nursing home -- just once a week -- and ask to see someone who never gets a visitor. Just read to them or sing to them, they will be so happy you did and you will be rewarded immeasurably for doing so. In the end, you will see that since you are young, you have the whole world waiting for you and life is what you make of it. This, my friend, will bring you happiness. I wish you all the best and hope for your peace.

I feel like that a lot too, even though I am a firm believer in the Savior. It seems sometimes the world gets too overwhelming and sometimes we lose track of what's important. When we get to worrying about things (at least I worry A LOT) then we forget that this life is not worth fretting over and that it is just a fraction of the eternity we will receive in Heaven with no more suffering or peril. My favorite verse of the Bible is from Jesus's sermon on the mount. Matthew 6:34: "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow wil worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
I read that several times a week, also reciting it to myself when things get rough and I just want to break down and cry and run away from everything. But in the end, what good will all my worrying and fretting do? It just makes my relationship with God and other people in my life more strained. Perhaps you could try rearranging your priorites. Let go some of that baggage that is hindering you relationships that matter to you most. Give it all to God in prayer and in trust. I promise you he will work wonders in your life...he will move mountains in your life that you never thought were possible. I remember being at a point where I was being held emotionally hostage by someone I thought I dearly loved. My life was hanging on by a thread, but each night I locked myself in my room and prayed and prayed to God, and he finally opened a door for me to break free. Now, although I worry about some things, I remember then how God set me free from the darkness that was my life. I will continue to walk with Him forever. Read the bible and pray. Talk to God as you would a friend. You will see a miracle happen! I wish you the very best and Merry Christmas!
your sister in Christ.

You obviously have access to a computer, so this means you`re not homeless! You`re able to post this message, so you`re not totally handicapped and dependent on someone else! And I`ll bet that there are countless blessings you could count if you just thought about it for a minute! We all get down, but if you`ll just focus on God`s goodness and grace in your life, things just can`t look that bad! Change your focus from your own situation, and turn it to how you can help others who are less fortunate than you, and believe me, there are plenty!
"seek FIRST the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well."
"trust in the Lord with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength,
and lean not to your own understanding, but in all your ways
acknowledge him, and HE will direct your path!"
"For we know that ALL things work for the good of those that love God and are called according to his purposes!"
"For God so loved YOU that he gave his one and only son!..."
Now read ps. 136 & ps. 23
Find a Bible based church, get involved ministering to others, and watch what God can through your life and for your life!
May God bless you and keep you and make his face to smile upon you all the days of your life!

Just sit down, think hard, and try to find the things that you know that you, the traits that you have and that you would keep if no one else were to exist in the world. If you can find one quality, one part about yourself that shines above all others, pursue it, make it the foundation of your life, and you will find your meaning. If you can find none, then you will require other people to give your meaning to you. Friends, family, or soul mates can all give you as much meaning to your life as anything else, and such relationships are the key way to leading a happy, fulfilling life.

Perhaps you should consider going to the "mental health section" of this forum. You may be suffering from clinical depression of some sort. You didn't give enough information to say with any certainty. Maybe you should consider going to a psychologist if those feelings persist for more than two weeks. Be well :)

Do you believe in the Bible and Jesus Christ? Do you believe that Jesus came to earth and died on a Cross for you? The Bible says that we are all sinners, Romans 3:23 says For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. Do you believe that? If so do you believe that He arose from the grave the third day forever opening the door to salvation for all mankind, to all who will call upon his name? If you do you canbe saved right now and become a born again Christian? Jesus will come into your life with His Holy Spirit and give you a new purpose in life, new goals and new priorities, everything will change for the better. Just pray this sinners prayer right now believing in Jesus with all your heart and soul, Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you made a decision for Christ or have any questions, Please send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

Then I suggest you create your own meaning. My self-given purpose to life is to ease pain. To that effect, I am becoming a registered veterinary technician. That way, while not an actual vet, I can still do a lot to ease the suffering of both animals and the people who love them.
