doesn't sound like a hernia. a hernia is a rupture of the sack that holds the stomach and intestines. when the doctor has you cough he can tell if there is a rupture because he can feel it. sounds like you just bruised them or something. usually someone gets a hernia from over exerting themselves when lifting.

One type of hernia is a tear in the lower gut, if your not careful your intestine can and, will poke through. This can cause strangulation of the intestine, you'll end up with a bag the rest of your life.
I don't think this is what you have. I think you simply were hit in the wrong spot, you should have had your jock strap on.

It will be O.K. after a few days if you still have pain, tell your mom what happen.

The protrusion of an organ or other bodily structure through the wall that normally contains it; a rupture. hernial,

the lining that contains the organ becomes weakened and ruptures; the organ begins to protrude thru the lining; and that needs surgical repair. if you have one, see a physician immediately. if you are near a sports medicine clinic go there; they tend to be the best surgeons.

it does not sound like a hernia however. but please check it out. talk to your mom and ask her to take you to the doctor. don't be shy; it is not your fault; it is something that happens.

A hernia is caused by overexerting your muscles. Whatever pain you feel in your testicles are not going to be caused by a hernia because you have no direct control over the main muscle group in them. Therefore, the only advice I can offer ont he true cause of this pain is to tell your parents and go and see a doctor.

it's a tear in tissue, now go tell your Mom and get it checked out before you can't play basketball again. Always better safe than sorry
