No, not now. As a child growing up I was really afraid of dying, until I became a Christian and accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour that fear has been removed.

I am both afraid and unafraid. I fear a painful death, and I fear the potential that we entirely cease to exist in any way upon death. However, many personal experiences have almost convinced me that we do continue. However, I am a consumate doubter of everything (heck, we may be trees having a connected dream about being human. Can't prove we aren't! :D) so there is always going to be a small part of me that is afraid.

I'm afraid of dying painfully, lingering in illness and being a burden to my loved ones. But I'm not afraid of death because it's the only way back home to heaven.

No. Death is the part of the life.

Nope I'm not. Why be afraid of something that is inevitable?
What I'm afraid of is living a wasted life or being old and looking back and thinking "Man, you sure could've done a heck of a lot more in life when you were still young".

I am not afraid of death, b/c, when i do die, i know that i will go up to Heaven to be with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for eternity!!!! If you are a christian, you are not afraid of death, b/c you know where you will go when you do die. When a loved one dies, and is a christian, then you don't have to worry about ever seeing them again, b/c you know you will up in Heaven.

I used to be afraid of death - afraid of spending eternity in hell, but thanks be to God, I'm no longer afraid. Even when I think about death, I have no fear of it inside me. Of course, I'm afraid of the process of dying - the thought of suffering as you lay dying, but that's normal - we're all human and God understands that. He knows us better than we know ourselves. Spiritually, however, I'm not afraid of death because I know I'll be with the Lord when I die, along with all the others who Christ saved before me: Moses, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Aaron, John the Baptist, Mary, Joseph, the apostles, etc. - and my dad. :D As a Christian, I have much to look forward to when I pass on out of this life.

For those I love and care so much about that are NOT saved, I am afraid and hurt for them. My heart cries for those I love that are not saved, but as I'm reminded many times: cast all your cares and worries upon the Lord.

I'm afraid of a painful death, not death so much.

Not at all. Death, to me, is a transformation and not a cessation, and a liberation from the bounds of the physical universe.
