Put it this way. The President has access to more Intellegence than anyone on Yahoo answers, Anti war types, or anyone else can even dream of. He relies heavily on advisors who have been working in thier respective fields longer than most of the above mentioned folks have been converting O2 to CO2 on this planet, and he employs some of the most learned and respected PhD's on on the planet.
I have a VEEEEEEERY hard time believing that there were never MWD's in Iraq. On the contrary I believe that Saddam was working feverishly on them and when he started to feel the heat, he went mobile with them.
Many would point to the fact that we searched and never found anything as undeniable proof that there never were any MWD's. This is sheer ignorance. Iraq itself is roughly 170,000 square miles of which over 85% is desert wasteland. With all the time he had from the revelation that Iraq was developing WMD's and the actual invasion(which simultaneously included a ban on UN weapons inspectors allowed in Iraq by Saddam) He had time to dismantle and bury them in the middle of nothingness, or transport them to a sympathetic country like Syria. Heck, he even had enough time to kick back in a lounge chair with a Mojito and BBQ up a couple racks of ribs after the job was done!
If we would have went in immediately instead of listening to the UN we would be seeing pictures of triumphant US troops straddling Iraqi Nukes!!!

I really don't care what anyone else says. Iraq had the weapons. Saddam used them on his own people. There is proof of that. I don't believe the intelligence was faulty. I believe the weapons were moved, but liberals will never let that information get out to the public ever. As far as the war, I think we need to stay there till the job is finished. This is no longer about oil as the liberals want it to be about. This is just the beginning of a new world war called the culture war. We don't just fight it in Iraq either. We fight it within our own country. Peace is something that won't happen until Jesus returns. The only question is: which side are you on?

Maybe I was dreaming but didn't we hear about 17 artillery shells that each contained about 1-1/2 liters of cerin gas? If I remember my training in nbc (nuclear, biological and chemical) weapons , a drop about the size of the point of a sewing needle could kill about 20 adults in an enclosed room in a 3 seconds. it blisters the lungs causing pockets of fluid to build until they pop and you drown from the fluid. Nice stuff huh? What would about 25 quarts of this stuff do to say a large city? Would that be classified as WMD? I know thats not the only reason for going into Iraq but seems pretty compelling to me.

We didn't go into Iraq because of the WMD issue. The reasons for Congress authorizing offensive military operations in Iraq are contained in the link below.

If there were WMD's in Iraq, Bush would still be yapping about it. Now he never mentions it. Why? Because he knows he was wrong. North Korea has far more WMD's and we don't touch them. It's sad that there are still people who buy into that WMD crap. Sad indeed.

in Oct 2002 Sadam ordered something like 30 tons of an aerosol make to turn chemical weapons in to "dusty" weapons. meaning our standard types of defense would not protect the troops from it. personally i believe that this in part was why Bush decided to go to war. believing there were WMD's. also because Dessert shield in the early 90"s turned up mustard gas (chemical weapon)

I trust the different posters, project is carried out. Saddam Hussein is faraway from potential. besides the reality that it might have been large to discover the WMDs to harm them, a minimum of we carried out what we got down to do. it form of feels like the sadistic evil dictator fans (Saddam) are going "nuts" with the thumbs down over some straightforward undeniable data that they are going to in no way ever, EVER admit to besides, what do you think of?

People are angry at Bush because he is so arrogant that he will not admit we went into Iraq on faulty intelligence. People are angry at Bush because he and his cabinet only had a strategy for blowing Iraq up. They had absolutely no exit strategy. Everything they've said about his war has been wrong. There were no weapons of mass destruction, the Iraqis at first were happy to get rid of Saddam but they soon decided they didn't want us either. The war was supposed to pay for itself in oil revenue, this has not happened. In fact we have to use a good portion of our soldiers to protect the oil refineries which are still prone to attack. Terrorist are adept at planting bombs at key oil pipelines. Terrorism is very prominent in areas where the surge is not in effect, many Iraqis are scared to leave their home. This year alone dozens of women were executed by fundamentalists for not wearing "proper Islamic atire". The city of Baghdad had about 16-24 hours of electricity under Saddam Hussein they now have about 8. I've heard from soldiers that the Iraqi police forces are very corrupt and that its really our soldiers who are the police. Many Americans are wondering how much longer are we gonna stay in this mess? How many more lives and how much more money and resources are we going to pour into this country? Many Americans, well actually most, want our leaders to begin a phased pull out of Iraq. So my question is how long will Bush ignore the will of the American people?
