When I was 20-something, adventurous activities seemed exciting and fun. Once I got past 30, as happens to most, things started hurting a bit more than they used to... so now I look at something like that and think... OOOOWWW, I'd hurt for days after doing that!

No they don't in many cases, but of course it depends on what you mean by adventurous. Most young people feel immortal, as if the rules of life and death and danger don't apply to them. That allows them to be adventurous and ignore risks, which is good up to a point.
Somewhere down the road we all figure out that adventurous activities can sometimes not be in our best interest, or we learn to value security more, and then the definition of adventure has to change.

No. The older person will have more of a sense of danger. The younger person will take more risks

Yes, indeed! My granddaughter is excited by her latest video game. I am excited by finding a new rock formation to climb.
