For the most part yes... Older people have a hard time with change. The older they get, the harder it is for them to try new things or make changes in their life.

i think there are some people who are averse to trying new things even when they're young (even as babies and toddlers), and some who find whatever is "new" to be exciting and stimulating both when they're young and when they're older. i'd guess it's personality more than age.

however, when you're older and trying something new, you tend to look more incompetent compared to people who learned it much younger (e.g. a 50-year-old ice skating for the first time being passed by some 4-year-old skating prodigy) ... so some older people are embarrassed to try new things. when you're young, you're supposed to be bad at it, so you don't get so self-conscious.

depends on the personality. In the vast majority of times, yes. As you get older your focus changes from new experiences to focusing on what you will do for future generations. When you are elderly, you usually perfer comfort and to dwell in what you have built for yourself, including your routine. Even if that routine is travel, you tend to travel in your own way.

Yea - In today's society I think people are more open to change and newer things. People who are older were raised in different times and aren't prepared for change so I think it's a little more difficult for them to adjust. Whereas younger people are used to it.
