They are pretty much all encompassing because they are.
Government
Religion
Education
Business
And it is not that these dynasties are actually hidden. What is actually hidden is who they are controlled by , and what their agenda is.

these four kingdoms hold the characteristics of the coming antichrist. it is also curious to read about the four fallen prince-angels that are bound under the river euphrates.
first and foremost you need to understand that satan has always wanted to be worshipped... he is so arrogant that he even beckoned the Son of the living God to fall down and serve him. he isn't seeking casualties, but converts and those who are willing to oppose the kingdom of God and His Christ.

You need to read "The Origin of Satan" by Elaine Pagels. "Satan/devil" is totally a manmade myth.
