you can try the openoffice or the staroffice,these programs are free,staroffice suppots most format of microsoft office except 2007, and it can export PDF, compare with the openoffice, the staroffice supports Art images, fonts, templates and tools groupware.they are all free,you can get the staroffice from google pack, or download the openoffice from
