My room is a light pink. I'm moving in tonight, so my mom wants me to pick out bedding so she can order it. I LOVE this bedding:

But--- it doesn't match my room. Can anyone find me pretty bedding like that that would match my room?
Please help!

The large square patchwork is usually more homespun. Your pink room likely needs something more elegant. Below are links to two quilts available from Target.com.

Custom quilts are very expensive, but if you have a sewing machine, making your own large block quilt is not that hard. Equal sized blocks are sewn together end to end with a 1/4 inch seam to make a long row. More rows are made to match the length of the first row. All seams are folded open and ironed flat. Then, the rows are sewn together with a 1/4 inch seam till the piece is the correct size for the bed. Once again all seams are folded open and ironed flat. This is important for the actual quilting process.

Place the finished patchwork right side up on a table, and lay the backing fabric (a sheet works well) right side down over it. Then lay the batting over the other two layers. Both of the sides you want to show on the finished quilt are facing each other. Sew a seam around three sides of the quilt, and pull the inside layers out thru the open end. The batting is now sandwiched between the patchwork and backing layers. Straighten and square the quilt using pins to keep things in place. Hand stich the open end closed, turning under the raw edges. Using the seams of the patchwork as a guide you can stitch-in-the-ditch thru all layers to create a simple square quilting pattern. Fancy edging can be added, but the above is the simplest instruction.

The third link gives info on quilting terminology.

Hi, try this. Go into Google or Yahoo image search. Key in pretty bedding, or whatever you're looking for. Voila, you now have thousands of photographs to choose from. Most images link to a website for more information.

Try Pier One Imports -- they tend to have that style, and even if you are looking for great exotic accessories to go with the bedding you find, this is a great place!
