this thing just happened to my friends dog she was not eating or anything and she lost alot of weight so we just took her to the vet 2 days ago because we thought she might have heart worms, or had something to do with her having her puppys 6 weeks ago but that was not the case the vet asked us if it was possiable that she got hit by a car and we said yes then he said with the way she was breathing it looked like she was hit and now her orgons and stuff was up in her lung cavity so we had to have her put to sleep so all i am going to say is take her to the vet asap because my friend waited for about a week before she did and look what happened

First off, shame on you for waiting this long. Second, take him or her to the vet immediately. Common household items can be toxic to our pets such as cigarette butts, styrofoam, and chocolate. Think hard, is it possible that your pet got a hold of anything like I've mentioned? Either way, please take him to the vet. It doesn't take long for an animal to dehydrate and the poor creature will continue to get worse the longer you wait. Check your local phone book, the vets usually list an evening number or there may be a 24 hour place you can take him. He is obviously miserable and you are responsible for his care. Please step up to the plate and take good care of him.

even if you don't want to bring your dog to the vet at least give them a call, you shouldn't be charged for a phone call and you will get an idea of how bad it is, take it seriously though I took my dog in because she was lethargic and not eating and she ended up needing her spleen removed

Get the dog to the vet. The more dehydrated your dog gets the worse it will be!

take him to the vet. Has he gotten a hold of chocolate? it's deadly to pets. also with it being the holidays, if he has gotten into poinsettias and other toxic things..just take him to the vet..tell them his symptoms. They will do what they can.
