When I was in the Air Force and doing temporary duty in Saudi Arabia, the country put on a "host nation" weekend for us. We got to sample food, look at art, ride camels, and listen to a lecture from a college professor from Riyadh about Arab culture and Islam. I asked one of my supervisors if he was going to the lecture, (he was baptist), he said, "why should I? I already know the truth. I don't need to listen to anybody else." I lost all respect for him that day.
The Buddha instructed his followers to challenge everything, even his own teachings, to find the truth.

I am a Jesus follower. The Bible is full of examples of people questioning God about things. There is no forbidden knowledge and there are no forbidden questions for Jesus followers. My religion encourages questions. I firmly believe that we should know the reasons behind our faith - we should know why we believe what we believe and not follow blindly.

what religion does that?
God gave you a brain, and a mind to think for a reason.
I don't think he's offended by a few questions.
How could He expect a person to come to the knowledge of the truth if not by asking questions?
Um, any church or religion that refuses to allow you to ask questions sounds a little weird and controlling.
I ask whatever the bloody hell i want to.
And i'm doubtful that's offensive to God.
God gave you a brain ---- use it.

mine dose not forbid me knowledge, and I can ask any question I want, and I will get a Biblical answer (assuming relevant questions)
P.S.
if you have spiritual questions got to the Bible and your Pastor
if you need any other answers go to the appropriate place:
need a recipe go to a cookbook
need your car fixed got to a mechanic.... etc
would you ask you mechanic to act as your doctor, then why should I go to a lesser place for spiritual answers

The glory of God is intelligence, or, in other words, light and truth.
Whatever principle of intelligence we attain unto in this life, it will rise with us in the resurrection. And if a person gains more knowledge and intelligence in this life through his diligence and obedience than another, he will have so much the advantage in the world to come.

Some religions are more about controlling the masses than teaching them knowledge. Once people know too much, they can't be controlled.

Why or What?
Once again - in my religion (heathenism) there isn't any "forbidden" knowledge that is withheld from all but a "select few"

It has to do with what defines "wisdom" in this actual word. God creatred Adam and Eve with prevalent or prevalent wisdom and thanks to it, they are in a position to sense that the fruit is agreeable to the eyes and seem sturdy for them. The minconception approximately this passage is that a lot of people don't comprehend the two words for "wisdom of sturdy and evel" and information of no rely if there there is something to eat or no longer. the reality that Adam and Eve be attentive to that God forbits to eat the fruit is a knowlede already and for this reason, they're to blame for their action against the command of God. besides, the understanding of sturdy and evil and the knowlede of God's likes and dislike are diverse as they already have the understanding to be attentive to that God command them to no longer eat. it style of feels to be a rely of scrutinizing the linguistic utilization and the excellent tale related to the autumn of guy in Genesis 3. there's no difficulty in be attentive to-how the passage if we additionally examine different areas of the financial ruin. thank you.
