I would very much like to know where you came up with those figures, the sources, (Hopefully Reliable) and if indeed there is any truth to your allegations, the facts and figures behind them.

Hi Vincent
A few years ago this would have shocked probably even angered me but after the Northern Rock fiasco I'm hardened to anything our governments do, Rover at Longbrige..saving English jobs..not one penny. Northern Rock £29 billion overnight now a total of £50 billion, we are the highest donor so far to save the old boys club, how many politicians have fingers in the Northern Rock pie?, now we don't have any industry with a strong union in this country the government can and does do what it likes unchallenged.
Ray. West York's. U.K.
Hi Rommel...that's damn good English, so there is life after death.

This absolutely fecking stinks! God I am angry about this!
Why was this money not invested to help low income *British people* get trained and set themselves up in business? I mean, people who cannot get bank loans etc as they have bad credit or low incomes?! This would get people off the dole, ease pressure on the welfare state, contribute to the economy and get British children out of poverty
My partner wants to train to get a skill so we can get out of him just doing min. wage work and drag ourselves out of wage-poverty. We have no savings and training fees cost up to £2,000 for the skill he wants to train in. Will the Government help him pay his training fees? Will they bollox!!!
Yet they can give £36,000,000 to foreigners?!
This country stinks.

This is a good idea, which operates in many countries, not just UK. It provides funding for things like education, training, and offers help starting a business (like a stall). This type of aid is a good thing because it can mean a safe future for people who were in a desperate situation. Don't forget, these people are often very poor. They would consider things like food, warm clothes, or cough medicine to be a luxury!

why El's do you think we pay 80p in the pound tax for petrol and £4.50 tax out of a £5.00 pack of cigarettes. you didn't think it was for our!! or our children's benefit did you. this is nothing!! to the money this country will be paying out next year and on top of that! we have one million African immigrants to cope with as a result of signing the treaty. no one has 'as yet' any idea of the damage the labour party have done, or are about to do to this country
