Simple on the US end. You can do it in a matter of minutes as you won't find a line...

1. appear in person before a U.S. consular or diplomatic officer,
2. in a foreign country (normally at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate); and
3. sign an oath of renunciation

Poof...you are no longer American. You will have to deal with the Mexican government to become a Mexican citizen. OH, and just to remind you. You can't change your mind on renunciation of American citizenship. Once you give it up -- it's gone. It's irrevocable.

Mexico has very strict immigration laws. Unlike the crap you hear coming from the messycons blow holes about Americans not allowing more immigration from messyco, the messycons have a zero tolerance policy for any one illegally in their country. They also allow almost no legal immigration. No one can hold a job if they aren't messycon and if they catch you they jail you and deport you. Messyco also defends their borders with big fences and their army.
