remember back years and years ago thee was none of this worry. they didnt' know what they know now. but its habit forming and in those days the companies put high concentrates in there and its hooked people. some people can't stop. if you want to really bad you have to get with doctor and get some big major help. it can work but could take awhile to do this. remember once you have smoked no matter what you do its damaged lungs you will have forever and probably you will have some sort of lung thing when you are older some are lucky and some are not. some get cancer and can't help it. but it does cause your life to be very sort and its sad yes, i know alot of people that can't stop and they would love to. there is alot to this drug. did i say drug some people dont' realize its a drug and actually not very good one at best take care.

There's a certain romantic association with film stars of the past- it's like when you wear nikes you borrow a little bit of cool from Michael Jordan, when you smoke you borrow a little bit of cool from James Dean.
Plus, willfully ignoring the consequences of your actions is always kind of sexy.

At first it's because of a desire to rebel, pressure at home, peer pressure, wanting to fit in, or all of the above. Then it's becuase of the addiction. Truly sad.

It is sad. Some people do it because of peer pressure. Others do it because they think they're cool at first, then they just start doing it all the time so it's a habit.

Mainly because they do it first because their friends and peers push them to and tell them that it's cool. Then they realize it makes them forget their worries and stress for a few hours so they take more and more until they feel like they need it every few days or so or else they will be overwelmed by the stress and troubles.

Peer pressure. Most people who smoke are easily suggestible. As children, these people felt like they need to do what their peers did out of fear of not being accepted. Since most smokers are very suggestible many of them can be cured by hypnosis.
