I think it's just an egocentric reaction that occurs when groups of people get together and have conflicting views in a similar area. It's not just related to religion. Have you ever seen people get into fights at sporting events? People just get to fanatical over their beliefs...

Besides, Muslims are NOT peaceful...9/11...Osama, etc.

Last I looked Muslims fought too. Beisdes the ones that cause the fighting are the ones who think their religion is and should be the only religion in the world.

That's funny. Religions fight so much because they all think they have the answer, and any challenges to their belief system leads to a total mental breakdown....so they have to chop people's heads off and stuff, kind of like the Muslims do these days.
