i am 19, 6 ft and 158lbs .......is it too late to start boxing

how long would it take to turn pro after many amatuer fights?

No not too late. Teens is fine, and you can even go far if you study the sport hard.

As to turning pro, it is not set in stone. Some states and countries might set a minimum previous experience to get a licence.

I would see how you do in amatuer first.Your career path and earning power is a lot better if you are a city or national champion turning pro, than some guy who had "five club bouts" is what I am saying, though people do start from there too.

An example is the national, golden gloves, or olympic guys going pro will have had anywhere from 25-100 bouts first.

It's never to late to start and you'll never forgive yourself if you don't try; and with your best efforts also.

Turning pro depends on:

1. how well you do, and,

2. your state boxing commission may also have rules.

lets put it this way. When Mike Tyson was a real pro, making millions of dollars, he was 19.

no way. my uncle is 32 and hes boxing ? if you want to box, then you can. noone is stopping you.
