belief is over-rated and the terms are somewhat ambiguous. beware, occultism is filled with egotists!

I acknowledge the existence of a number of systems employing symbolism to produce a greater probability that certain events or conditions will come about. their use is engaged seriously by the interested, and a motivational asset to be sure. initiative is often half the battle.

I assert that mystic energies used to produce paranormal phenomena are delusions and undemonstratable in any substantial manner. I do not swear allegiance to the truth or reality of any supernatural phenomena, and think that the religion's sphere of authority ought extend solely to the internal world(s) of subjective and charitable enterprises in service to compassion everywhere, and further, that heaven is a metaphor for well-lived, finite life. as below, so Above.

I deny the existence of mutant powers wielded by aliens or humans, on behalf of gods or demons or dinosaurs. my empiricism indicating that the bulk, if not the lot, of superordinary claims are either metaphors or falsified and glorified folk tales and legends, and that what passes for magic of any depth completely conforms with all ordinary natural principles and regularities. engaging in magical spells or rituals does not require belief of any kind, but a willingness to see a thing through is required for success in both the aims of magic and magic's application.

Magick, you bet. I have used it many years and I was with someone who was pretty advanced in the use of magick. Though what is simple can be most powerful. I wrote a lot about my experience with magick and someone else who used it, taught it to many people, and led his own group.
