I can't think of a better description of "Hell" than what you've just described.

This life I'm living is as close to my concept of Paradise as I can imagine because the nature of Man ( mine at least ) thrives on challenges and overcoming the obstacles that Life ( or God, if you will ) places in our paths. The ability to use our intellect to choose between right and wrong and to follow the path of right even if it means sacrificing things we value is what determines a person's worth and the strength of the Divine within us.

I've been shot up in war, been homeless, an alcoholic, traveled the world, overcome my failings and have now been married for over twenty years, a father of two wonderful sons, living in the Holy Land for the better part of thirty years, and wake up every morning welcoming the good AND the bad that waits in store for me.

To remove all these obstacles, all these problems, all these major and minor irritations we all experience on a daily basis would leave us with no opportunities to prove our dedication to God's will and would strip us of all self-respect as we would be denied the challenge of bettering ourselves in the eyes of God.

If there is a "Heaven" with no sin . . . that heaven can have no sanctity, since only by striving against the challenges and temptations of sin can we overcome it and purify our spirituality.

If you had the power to send me to your "Heaven" at this moment, I would reject it out of hand, since my joy, my strength, my love of life comes through meeting the challenges that confront me on a daily basis and overcoming them . . . . your "Heaven" would strip me of all the things that bring joy and self-respect to my immortal soul.

May God save me from your "Heaven" and grant me, after my death, other and more challenging lives to live and in which to grow closer to an understanding of His presence.

As for Jesus dying on the cross "for my sins", that's about on a par with letting someone else do your tests in school for you. It's cheating . . . and, worst of all, it degrades you as a creation of God who has the strength and ability to overcome sin on you own. When you stand at the foot of the Throne for judgement, do you REALLY want to have to tell God, " I didn't do it . . . it was him !" and point to Jesus.

I figure that that answer would get you the same grade you'd get in school for cheating on a test . . . a big, fat "F" !

I see my job in this life as trying to lift as many burdens OFF the shoulders of God by doing good for others rather than praying for God to "Gimme, gimme, gimme" and then bitching when He doesn't change the workings of the entire universe and the creations beyond just to suit my little, spoiled demands.

Sorry, Sparky, not for me . . . . ! ! !

Yes everyone can do this, but other things have to happen first.

GOD IS NOT GOING TO DESTROY THE EARTH, THE EARTH SOMETIME IN THE NEAR FUTURE WILL BECOME A GARDEN OF EDEN OR PARADISE WHERE PEOPLE CAN LIVE IN PEACE & SECURITY.

ARMAGEDDON IS SIMPLY HIS WAR TO CLEAN THE EARTH OF WICKED PEOPLE & ALL BAD THINGS THAT EXIST, & PEOPLE WHOSE WORSHIP IS UNACCEPTABLE TO HIM.

Why, though, would God wage a global war? Armageddon is closely related to one of his cardinal qualities, justice. The Bible declares: “God is a lover of justice.” He has seen all the acts of injustice perpetrated during man’s history. This naturally provokes his righteous displeasure. Thus, he has appointed his Son to wage a just war in order to do away with this entire wicked system.

Only God is capable of waging a truly just and truly selective war during which righthearted individuals, wherever they may be on earth, will be preserved. ) And only he has the right to impose his sovereignty over all the earth, for it is his creation.

What about survivors? Indeed, no one needs to perish at Armageddon. The apostle Peter observed: “God, does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance.” And the apostle Paul stated that God’s “will is that all sorts of men should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth.”

Consider the good Har–Magedon promises to achieve, godly humanity’s peaceful future on this planet, no more pollution, no more war, no more poverty, no more disease or even death. God promises: “Look! I am making all things new.” Revelation 21:3,4

The one's living in a Paradise Earth will be the survivors of Armageddon, and the one's that will be resurrected & obey the rules that are layed out by Jesus Christ.

No, I wouldn't... Life without frustrations, illnesses, problems etc. wouldn't be interesting.... Of, course, everyone is afraid to die, but then without awareness of death life wouldn't be dynamic...

you keep on thinking that, buddy. i'm glad you're happy at the prospect of worshipping your god for all eternity. he must suck at life if he needs to create life just so they can tell him how majestic he is and sing to him. what a crappy god. when you get there, tell him to grow up.

No. My one life on this earth is enough. If you create a good life for yourself and the ones you love why would one need more than that.
