Of course I care for it - I live in the Midwestern US and will be affected by drought, just like in the mid-30s.
The Earth can absorb 5 billion tons of CO2 every year. There are 6.6 billion people on the planet. That means we can only make 4/5 of a ton of CO2 per person if we are to stabilize CO2 levels where they are now.
Industrial nations make 10 to 20 times that amount per capita. To make the cuts needed would decimate the economies of the US, Europe, Japan, and China.
Therefore, we will not stop it, and instead must prepare for it.
Hopefully our leaders will recognize this and proceed before it is too late.

No I do not care but I do think it is funny,I read and listen to all the experts and all the data but in the end I can look at history and see that this whole scare may only be a trend like the Oklahoma dust bowl days of the 30's,and look at Oklahoma now green fields plentiful water, abundant trees, and one of the mid wests largest producers of strawberry's,now all the Green's are saying look at Georgia and the drought, but its like they think a drought has never happened in Georgia, but you know they have, look we can all do a little more and it will not hurt to improve fuel economy on cars,or to require better eco standards on new equipment but we are an arrogant people to think we are going to change a world in a short time when for hundreds of years people burned wood in every home and dumped raw sewage into the streams and rivers but now we are going to stop this fairy tale sure we are yea right.

I care about proper science and data. I do not care about consensus or the multitude of competing "computer models," and their endless parade of unfulfilled predictions. Nor testimonials by celebrities and theology students. Not when such a huge transfer of money wealth is involved.
I get skeptical when Bush has the green friendly house, and Gore is an energy hog. Me, I'm a very small carbon speck, who lived through the coming Ice Age in the 1970s and the death of the Oceans in the 1980s.
We must all stop ManBearPig. That one I care about.

Yeah, I do care because I don't want all of the polar bears and penguins to be wiped off the planet and if the glaciers and ice caps melt the ocean will overflow and flood the Earth and everyone and everything would be wiped and that's why I care.

Caring solves nothing. It's a "feel good" competition among pencil pushers to see who can claim they are the most concerned.

I care. I am grateful that in the past 10,000 years the glaciers retreated 2,000 miles and gave us this abundance of land to farm and live on.
