my mom and I have been living together with out my dad for allmost 6 years . He lives in Florida I have not seen him for almost like 2 years . When I say seen I mean no contact at all! I am beggining to miss him what should I do ?

Hi.. it's not your fault your father has not contacted you for two years. It's HIS fault!
I'm sure you miss him and i really feel badly for you... if you want to see him, or just talk, perhaps give him a call. Do whatever you feel is best for your emotional well-being.
If you are in school, and having problems because of the lack of communication, perhaps consider talking with your guidance counselor... they are trained to help and give us good direction.
I hope you understand that our parents are the ADULTS in the relationship and it's their responsibility to stay in touch. I sure hope things work out for you... take care and do whatever you feel best.

Well if u can why don't u go on alone and visit him for the holidays?
If u cant do that though u can always write letters or email him. This will be easier if u dont want ur mom finding out that ur keeping in touch with him.

First thing is to talk to your Mom about it. Tell her how you feel and then call your Dad. Make some kind of arrangements to see him. There should be noone in the world to keep a child from seeing their parent. If he is not abusive to you and there is no threat to you then there should be no reason why you can not go see him.

WHY HAVE YOU NOT SEEN HIM? IS IT BECAUSE HE DOES NOT HAVE CONTACT WITH YOU OR DOES YOUR MOM KEEP YOU FROM HIM? MY PARENTS SPLIT WHEN I WAS 10 YRS OLD AND MY MOM WOULD NOT LET US SEE OUR FATHER LET ME TELL YOU IT WAS HARD I RESENTED HER AND I COULD NOT BOND WITH MY FATHER I WAS VERY CLOSE TO HIM UNTIL THE DIVORCE THEN I DID NOT SEE HIM FOR ALMOST 3 YEARS IT WAS LIKE I DID NOT KNOW HIM WELL I NOW HAVE CHILDREN IN LATE TEENS AND I HAVE NO RELATIONSHIP WITH MY MOTHER HAVNT TALKED TO HER IN OVER A YEAR FOR VARIOUS OTHER REASONS MAINLY STEMING FROM THE WAY SHE WAS WHEN I WAS YOUNGER AND I ONLY TALK TO MY FATHER MAYBE ONCE A MONTH WE DONT LIVE IN THE SAME STATE I LOVE HIM BUT I DONT KNOW HIM SO PLEASE FOR YOUR SAKE MAKE THIS HAPPEN FIGURE OUT A WAY YOU HAVE TO HAVE BOTH PARENTS IN YOUR LIFE IF AT ALL POSSIBLE

Hi.... What you should do is have a talk with your mother first, ok? Ask her if theirs a reason why he left, then if he left any information reguarding contact of him.. You sound young, very young.. Very vunerible too.. I feel so bad for you..:-((

Sit down and have a talk with your mom and explain to her you would like to talk to your dad atleast on the phone. and maybe visit him! explain to her your feelings and you miss your father. Hope this helps, GoodLuck and HappyHolidays

ure best choice is to call him, send him email, get back into contact ask ure mother if you can go visit him, be wit him tell her that u miss him she ure mother, she loves u she doesnt like to see u mad or crying so she will help u

tell your mom.
all you gotta do is be like :mom i miss dad,and then she will give you some advice.unless you and your mom don't get along.
i don't know my real dad he left me and my mom when i was born.
but i hate him so i don't really care.
