its definitely not whiskey and weed as they are both depressants and will make you feel like ****. Im currently taking fluoxetine hcl (prozac) which helps alot with the depression and a bit with the anxiety- sometimes i wont be anxious at all and completely forget about it but then i kinda think myself anxious- you prob no what i mean, but i have severe anxiety and find it helps so if yours is only mild then it will probably make you feel alot better. I feel alot better in myself and dont feel as weighed down with everything anymore. Before you try medication i would advise you try other methods such as hypnotherapy and relaxation techniques and talk your problems over with those close to you also and dont isolate yourself even though you probably just want to be alone all the time. My friend is on citolpram and it seems to have a bit of a strage effect on her and i think she gonna change, but there are side effects with a antidepressants the main one being- sexual disfunction- which sucks! But the others such as nausea and a feeling of tiredness are usually just at the beginning of starting the medication- your doc will tell you much more about this when you see him/her. I hope this helps you and if you have any more questions about antidepressants or if you just want some one in the same situation to talk to dont hesitate to email me! hope you feel better soon hun x x x

There are multiple kinds of disorders that deal with anxiety. Although most can manifest in similar ways, these disorders generally occur due to different events in your life. Natural home remedies for anxiety https://tr.im/p7v1l
Generalized anxiety disorder includes persistent and unnecessary worries about everyday, common events or activities, which can disrupt concentration and lead to other issues, such as depression.

Most of the medication are given as a trial. Since what may work for one person, may not work for you.
The majority of anti-depressants in use these days are the SSRI type-- Paxil, Prozac, Cymbalta are just a few.
There are also some meds used with these that bring down the panic.
Many docs would prefer to treat the panic with medications other then benzodiazapines (Valium/Xanax). These have addictive properties and are very hard to cease taking.
Find a competent, easy to speak with Doctor who you can discuss medications with and find what will be the right mixture for you. As I said, it may be a trial. I had gone through at least 4 different meds before I finally found one that gave me the least side effects (Cymbalta)
Good Luck
Talking to a Counselor will help you through this as well.

I assume you're talking about mixed anxiety depression (?) I can't tell you what the "best" medication is, because everyone reacts differently, even if their symptoms are the same. However, here are some medications that can be useful.
SSRI antidepressants.
Venlafaxine (SNRI antidepressant)
Mirtazapine (Novel antidepressant)
Olanzapine (Atypical antipsychotic, usually used to augment another medication)
Quetiapine (Atypical antipsychotic, usually used to augment another medication)
Other drugs would include the following.
Lofepramine (antidepressant)
Most tricyclic antidepressants

talk to your doctor, because medications for anxiety and depression can be different. Dont take anything ending in PAM, its addictive. Medications coupled with therapy, such as REBT or CBT therapy will help you a lot. Good Luck!

SSRI's are the pupular treatment for depression now. For anxiety I take lorazipam, but not too often becuase it is addictive. Everybody's different so you and your doctor will have to find the right one and what dose to take. Be patient as this will take two or three months.
