I was watching the news right now and they had mention that illegals from Mexico are now migrating to Canada because they are accepted with 'open' arms. They interviewed this family and asked them 1. Do you pay for rent? 2. Do you pay for education? 3. Do you pay for food? The illegal family in Canada answered NO to all THREE questions. Those questions were followed by "who pays for it?" and they answered 'the Canadian gov't".
Im not a Canadian citizen. I am an American. Keep in mind that family in the interview left the States because they couldn't 'adjust' here and YES they were here illegaly too so they migrated to Canada.
Should I go move to Canada as an illegal to live for free too?
I find it frustrating how they can get away with so much...

I sincerely hope they were lying. If true, PLEASE, Canada, open your eyes and see what is happening in the US of A. You do not want your country to be the cesspool home country that these illegal criminal aliens left....

Truth is that many of Them are cooling Their Heels in a very large Jail We have, just up the road from where I live. They used to fill the Jail's in Toronto but now We ship them to other newer Jails that have just been built. This really bothers The Illegals because Their Legal Representatives mostly reside in Toronto 90 miles away. From the time They are put into Custody until Their case goes before the Courts easily takes 6+ months . And most of Them are deported back to Their home country. Unlike in America ( California , Georgia ) where a Illegal can hide under a Tree or in the Forest for a long time . This becomes impossible Here in Canada . The Temperature last night was -27C or about -20F and in the Summer the Mosquitoes and Black Flies will eat a Person up in one night if They decide to sleep outside. Also anyone who is proven to give a Illegal a job also faces some severe penalties . This means to enter Canada Illegally and hope to survive is a very difficult thing to do. Currently We have many more unemployed Persons looking for jobs than We need so for a Illegal to enter and think They can find employment is a fantasy more than a reality.

First of all there is no help for illegals. They have enter legally and apply for refugee status then it takes about 18 months to deport them .Once deported they are not aloud to return.Since refugee status does not apply to anyone entering Canada from the US.All these people are just using resources that`s meant for the real refugees.The government is working on speeding up the process.If to much more come we are going to have to start giving them tents to live in .How many do you think would like living in a tent in -20 degree weather.

No, if your like most Americans and Canadians you would not think of going somewhere else and accept a free ride, and if you try to go to Mexico and do what they are doing here you would be put in jail.

It's disgusting. I'm wondering though, what illegal would come out and be interviewed, and let the whole country know they were illegal? Maybe in Canada they can, which is very disturbing in itself.

Smartguy is right. These Mexicans that came from Florida to Canada are claiming refugee status. While their claim is pending, they are permitted to have government benefits. Their case will be reviewed and decided upon -- They have to have a solid case that they are not fleeing their homeland because of persecution, war, etc. -- chances are, they will be deported.

i really don't think the Canadians will let them in. Canadians pay their government and they are taxed even worse than we are. The Canadians do not want this tax burden either. They are wonderful people . I doubt many support this.

Its being done so we accept the North American Union because we then feel like we have no choice but to accept Mexico since they are basically everywhere.
There would be no other reason why the population would agree to have them in a Union, we have nothing to gain from them.

Yes.... That's why the Canadians want the NAFTA highway built as soon as possible... so that the illegals won't stop in the US and not continue North.
