normally about 18 months old

yes technically about 9 months but the first heat is kinda like a false one 9 out of 10 times even if she gets tagged by a male it won't take so I don't count that one.

I have seen dogs go into heat as early as 6 months and as late as 12 months. Anywhere in there would be considered normal.

The first heat usually begins between 6 and 12 months of age. It varies dog to dog.

Okay, ask a breeder, a female normally goes into heat first time between 5-6 mos, sometimes alittle longer, but a female never goes 18 mos before their first heat.....if you dont want puppies and add to the population that is homeless now, have her spayed.......

She can go into heat starting around six months and going up to over nine months. Have her spayed and you don't have to worry about that at all.
