It wasn't, it was written by a bunch of men... None of which happened to be Jesus.

Christians accept the Bible as the word of God, because it states more than 2800 times thus saith the Lord, a word from the Lord…the NT and OT. Authors lived hundreds of years apart and yet they all work together…it’s hard to deny that God dictated these words to the authors. The Dead Sea Scrolls are proof that God’s word was the original word of God…not one word had changed. There is no corruption in his word.

The Bible is the inspired word of God, written by men during particular historical events.
Jesus was much too busy organizing Christianity those 3 years teaching His Apostles who truly believed the He would return soon; they started writing down the events and His words to pass on to other believers, so nothing was lost. You don't need the Bible to have faith but you need faith to read the Bible and learn about God's Love for us.

He and John the Baptist used the "Teacher-Disciple tradition which is focused on the "living word."
The New Testament did not exist when Jesus spoke about the "Word of God," so he was certainly not speaking of the Bible as we know it today.
His word probably had to do with Spiritual instruction of some kind, because that is how the Teacher-Disciple thing works... even in today's world.
So they had no focus whatsoever on reading Books... that was going on in the temple... and of course I'm sure you heard that Jesus and John didn't get along very well with those book people.
So Jesus was passing along a "living word." In all probability, it was done privately.

It was the Spirit of Christ - the pre-incarnate Word of God that inspired the Scriptures:
"Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow."
I Peter 1:10-11
"For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

Dear. Dear.
But if Jesus, the Son of God, is also God and it was God's will that the apostles would write the gospells ---- you see where I'm going. Seems pretty silly.

I do. Jesus knew The Laws of Moses better than the teachers teaching Him because it was He who gave them to Moses in the book of Exodus. That's what He meant when He said, "Before Abraham, I Am".

The Bible is God breathed.
2 Timothy 3
16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Jesus is God.
Jesus is the Word.

the story of Jesus.. and it is just a story... is to indicate to us the mentality of those who promote it... The only reason he is celebrated, or held in high account is because the religions managed to kill him, BEFORE, he could make his messages known... before he could write a word of what he would learn ... it is just a story but that is what religions do to anyone who threatens their power on earth...
