The Japanese were fascist racists bent on taking over all of Asia and exterminating or enslaving the other cultures there long before any contact with Adolph Hitler.
They slaughtered 200,000 civilians in Nan King, raped countless grandmothers and 5-8 year old girls, and have never apologized for it, or even ever admitted any wrongdoing at all in the war.

The Axis Pact involving the German Third Reich, Imperial Japan and Italy was entered into before the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. That was an event which displeased Hitler to some extent because he didn't want to go to war against the U.S. Japan's military action required the Germans to declare war against the U. S.
Japanese military leaders (especially high ranking Naval officers) knew as early as March of 1942 that they were going to lose the Pacific War against the U.S. There was no way for Japan to counter-balance the enormous advantage the U.S. had in production of material and equipment. Most of the ships which Admiral Yamamoto's Combined Northern Fleet had sunk at Pearl Harbor were raised and made fit for duty by the end of 1942.
The great mistake Japan made was in forgetting the difference between the two nation's national sports (Japan and the U.S.). The national sport of Japan was Sumo. A type of wrestling competition in which the initial charge is followed by less than three minutes of furious action and defeat of one of the opponents. The U.S. played baseball. A sport in which a team could be down 17-0 in the bottom of the first inning and still have eight more innings to catch up and win.

I am not so sure the Japanese were on the sid of Hitler. I think they were more fighting for their own causes. Now what would have happened if they both won. Maybe it would have been like the game of Risk when you have 3 players. In the end there is only one winner even if 2 of the 3 team up against the other one.

"His" side wasn't the draw, they saw it as a chance to go up against a 'weakened' country while others kept the majority of the fighting concentrated half a world away.
Remember most wars fought on two fronts are NOT won because of double the resources it needs and double the manpower. If Hitler and the others in the European Axis could keep us busy, then Japan saw it as a unique opportunity to try some expansion in the Asian area.
If we'd been trounced in Europe fighting for our allies, then they would get to keep any land they'd grabbed in the Pacific. We had help in Europe, but not in the Pacific theatre except for Australia, who didn't have the manpower to do a world war with Japan. So really, Japan saw it as a good enough opportunity especially since the war had already gone on for so long and depeleted our soldiers ranks.
As it was, Japan would have kept fighting if it wasn't for the two atomic bombs dropped on their country. Up till then they did see it as a win-win situation.

That's a very good point. Both Hitler and the Japanese had previously spent an entire generation becoming racists, and it surfaced in political life in both countries. Both countries were very intolerant and racist. They're only connection during WW II was common enemies. After the enemies had been defeated, (if the war ended differently) I really can't see both powers working to create harmony between them.

I'd say he was a tad bit racist and I believe the Japanese had every intention of winning the war and then taking the idiot down. Rather the Japanese in charge than old Adolph..He wasn't even human.

The plan of the Axis was to have Germany control Europe and America. Italy was to control the Mediternean and North Africa while Japan would control most of Asia. Also Hitler made the Japenese "honorable Aryans" since they decided to ally themselves with Germany.

Just a tad. The Japanese thought they would be on the winning side. They probably weren't thinking about the fact that he turned on his so-called allies and the countries he had non-aggression pacts with earlier.

I don't think the Japanese were fighting for Hitler. They just saw an opportunity to advance their own imperial designs, whilst so much of the world was preoccupied with what was going on in Europe. I will never understand why they attacked America, that was just stupid.

Hitler just needed to delay the inevitable. He was going to get around to the Japs once he'd had a chance to reload.
Too bad the Russians were A LOT tougher than he expected.
