Hey, white boy G, glad to see you back! Big Kid, yes, that will be scary.
I think he will start in the top twenty and finish in the top five.

Absolutely no contest. The 2007 Daytona 500 was epic and will go down as one of the greatest, and most exciting races at Daytona. It will be remembered wayyy longer and by more fans than this years 500.

hmmm, let me check my trusty crystal ball.....jr's in a new ride, a new team, a whole new set of team orders, he is not the top dog as he was in the last place of employment (like the way when his dad was alive.( f.u. terri), he though is hungry for a win, he has his ol trusty cousin to help lead him through the pack, he has the apparent dominance of Hendrick's motor sports grasp on the new car of tommorrow ability.
but during the off season, the other guys may have caught up.
2008 will be new not only to the Hendrick team but to all as they all have to drive the same car, it is with only different decals that they will be different and a few engine packages.
no areo differences (remember the good old days when they bitched about having different noses on their cars that gave a better advantage to another car? ) . at dead last jr could win at this track starting, on the pole he could finish dead last.
his record here is good, but now there are to many variables, anyone could win. but the crystal ball predicts a top 20 qualifying effort and a a top 5 finish.... now i have to put the ball on the charger till the chase.

Well Jr. usaully does good in types of races. If he dont make the pole, he will win one of the twin 250 and start in the top 5. Then he will finish hopefully, but surely in the top 5.

He'll start in the top 15 for the race and finish around that area as well. Best case scenario for me and all other Dale Junior fans would be first for both but I'm going to be a little more realistic and say that he will still start and finish well.

If you checked betting odds probably Jr., Jimmie or Jeff (gordon) wouldn't pay much, but especially Jr with his literal "track record" on superspeedways and being in a Hendrick car. He learned from the best and still has the talent to get it done, but his cars haven't been there for him the past few years. Dale Jr. is almost a shoe-in to win, but you have to remember that it's a restrictor plate race and anything can happen.

He'll be running about fifth with 25 laps to go when his engine blows. This guy is just way too rough on his equipment. How many blown engines will it take before Rick Hendrick gives Dale his walking papers?

Start dead last (will change a part forcing him to the back),(he will qualify in speed trails in the mid 20s, but in the qualifing race will have a problem and have to change something on the car)
Finish top three (top three cars will be battling for the win on last lap)
How's that for being detailed and original?
And how scared of me are you gonna be when it comes out that way?
Bonus answer: Win the Shootout, but will not race the same car in 500.

I bet that he will qualify in the top 20, then in the duel 150 races he'll get bumped up into the top 10 and finish in the top 5.
