how many playstation 3 game can you store on a 40,60,80 GB hard drive?

my dad is going to buy me a playstation 3 for xmas and i dont know whether to buy 40,60,80 GB hard drive answer quickly plz

p.s. what stores in brampton (not in downtown brampton) sell 40,60 and 80 GB hardrive ps3 systems for cheap?

Get the 40 gb if you don't care about playing PS2 games on your PS3. The 40 gb cannot and will not play PS2 games. There's no backward compatibility for PS2 games, but it can play PSX games.

Get the 60 gb if playing PS2 games on your PS3 is really important. The 60 gb has the emotion engine, which was the CPU used in the PS2, so the 60 gb can play almost all PS2/PSX games.

Get the 80 gb if you somewhat care about playing PS2 games on your PS3 and you want Motorstorm and/or need the bigger hard drive. The 80 gb uses software emulation, so it can't play as many PS2 games as the 60 gb until programmers write the emulation to play it.

The number of PS3 game saves that can be put on the PS3 differs quite a lot between games. Folklore takes about 35 mb, while Assassin's Creed takes over 2.1 gb.

If Brampton is in the US, then you can go to just about any store and buy the 40/80 gb PS3. You'll have to look harder to find the 60 gb because Sony has discontinued making the 60 gb.

With the PS3, you don't actually save the whole game onto the console because if it was like that only about 4.-5 PS3 games would fit.

The amount of games that the PS3 can save depends on how much space one game takes up. I have the 60GB PS3 and I've saved 5 of my games on it, plus I have other pictures, music, and videos on it and I have about 41GB left.

I really recommend the 60GB or 80GB PS3 though because they can play both PS1 and PS2 games and they come with plenty of hard drive space.

An average game save for the ps3 takes about 5 to 10 mb. 1gb has 1,024 mb's any one of them would do.
