Adam and Eve are merely representations of us as children in the paradise of childhood. The only sin we are originally born with is ignorance. If learning right from wrong, by eating from the tree of knowledge, is heroic. Then everyone who becomes a mature responsible adult is a hero.

Basing this on Christian and similar orgion text--I disagree. The first two humans to start the population of humanity (reguardless of what the are called) ARE HUMANITY. Everything from that day forward laid the blueprint for what humanity is to be- good, bad, or indifferent. If mankind says the evils of humanity are their fault, they cannot be considered heros. Yet, if it says they are heros for setting the good standard of the world (you can teach your children manners, but cannot control what they do after they are away from you) then.....

If fantasies can be heroes they're certainly something. I'd say they were heroes because they explored life. That's better than crouching under a tree, dressed in fig leaves, and afraid of a fantasy of some possessive and overbearing God. Hooray for the human spirit - it's the mystical hobgoblins that undo us.

I guess they're heroes in the same sense that Batman is a hero... Seeing that neither Batman nor Adam and Eve are real.

Most us them as a scape goat to reason with why they are suffering, or why they sin. But in actuality the idea of original sin is a farce. Why would a most merciful God make everyone pay for one sin for all existence. It make absolutely no sense. They had to add that story because they took out almost everything to do with karma and reincarnation out of the bible. In this way original sin is their reason why good people suffer. But the actual reason why good people suffer is we are always playing catchup with our karma, That is why a child is born sick or blind or in a poor family. Due to past life activities. God makes sense and supremely Merciful. Original sin is not a rational or merciful idea. Nor is going to hell eternally for an eternal living being. These ideas have made God out to be merciless. King Constantine made a mess of the Bible at the council at Nicea in 324 AD. For the original teachings of Jesus google gospelofthenazirenes.com The Gospel of the Nazirenes is the original New Testament. Jesus originally taught karma, reincarnation, and no one goes to hell eternally. Unless one understand these basic spiritual principles, they can not understand the unlimited mercy and love of God.

Disagree, it's because of them that sin came about. My heroe is my Saviour Jesus Christ.

This is known academically as the Felix Culpa hypothesis (lit. "Fortunate Fall,") which suggests that, as salvation would have been impossible without original sin, we ought to be grateful to the serpent.
