If you feel anxious around most people, you might be suffering from Social Anxiety Disorder. A therapist could help you identify the thoughts that are making you anxious so that you can reprogram how you think about situations. Aside from professional help, reducing your caffeine intake and getting exercise at least a few times a week can help. You don't need medication unless therapy fails, so don't let anyone push you onto the drug train until it's your last resort. This is really common, and plenty of people have overcome it, so you're not alone!

What do you mean? If anyone talks to you, you get anxious and nervous? What I find is with practice anything can become easier. Why don't you communicate most with people you're most comfortable with, then after you've practiced, communicate with others. Perhaps you can go and meet random people at the gym, work or anywhere really and just practice talking to them until you get used to it.

Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God and the peace of God which passes all understanding will keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6,7

cognitive behavioural therapy would be good for you. Dont let the therapy word put you of its really just more of an examination of how you react to stimulus and the effects and how you can control them. taint no big thing but it would probably help (have a look at it in a self help kind of book if you want first)

You need to find a way to relax and get your confidence back, can't help any more than that, though the easy answer is go to a doctors and get some medication. There has to be a better answer than that surely?

DO NOT TAKE MEDICATION. Stop thinking about what you are going to say and listen to people. Make eye contact. It helps to focus.

I'm the same at times. I try to keep eye contact. It's hard, but it helps you concentrate.

breathe slowly and concentrate on the words, not what's gonna happen next or now. look them in the eyes.
