I just went shopping today, and wanted to cry. My thighs are so disproportionate with my entire body. My waist is 27 and since my thighs are huge it's too tight, so I have to go up to 28. Which I know isn't fat, it just makes me miserable, because I compare myself, which I KNOW I SHOULDN'T, please don't add to that, to my 25 inch waist friend, and it's like kay sweet... I hate my thighs!!! I've done squats, seen no results whatsoever! I don't know what to do. What should I eat? I'm so miserable with them =(

You can eat normal. Try running or walking that has helped my thighs. I joined the Curves for Women and lost a half inch 1 month. I would have lost more, but I didn't get to work out that much. I have had trouble with my thighs like you do for as long as I can remember. I tried that and it worked. If you can afford go do it. You will be glad you did.

Sqauts will build muscle, but won't make your thighs any smaller per se. I think the best way to stay healthy and lose weight is a reuglar, light to moderate cardiovascular exercise. You don't even have to run. Just get an Ipod and go for a brisk 20 minute walk every day, just to get your heart rate up. This is something simple and easy that you can commit to, even if you're busy. You can do it first thing in the morning before you shower or make it the last thing you do before you go to sleep. You can even bring a friend, walk a dog, or push a stroller (if you have young kids) to keep you honest, give you a companion, and in the case of the stroller, add intensity to the workout.

Edit: when a women gains weight, it will show up in the thighs and hips first, according to my professor. It's also the first place where weight loss will be evident. Your body has a specific order to where it stores fat, and if memory serves thighs are at the top of the list.

You have to do a lot of cardio to lose fat from problem areas (usually butt and thighs on girls). Walking or jogging tones the muscles in your legs without making them bigger and helps burn a lot of fat. You'll need to get out and run (you can walk at first and work up to running) for at least 40 minutes at least 3 days a week. Try cutting down on sugar and starch, too. Just replacing soda with water and potato products with whole wheat can work wonders.

Don't do squats! Anything that makes your strain your leg and butt muscles will bulk the muscles and your thighs will look even bigger. Jogging is a better choice. Good luck.

You do realise those jeans that go by numbers 26,27,28 are not your waist size. They are just designer sizes. A 27 is a size 4 and would fit a 26 inch waist. A 28 is a size 6 and would fit a 27 inch waist. So you are exactly where you should be.

Is it muscle or a little fat?
If its muscle, its going to be kidn of hard because you would have to lose the muscle, which you can do by not exercising so much and once they're not so toned, excercise some.
If its a litte fat, then you an do a lot. First you should stretch really good, and then swim or jog, or go bike riding, things like that.
Personally, I like girs with nice thick thighs, its so sexy to see a girl with nice thighs because I assume you also have good size calves. Just stay with them, and learn to make yourself feel good with them, because I am sure that a lot of guys out there might like that.

You can't reduce specific areas of the body with spot exercises, all you can do is tone the muscles of that area. If you are out of proportion, you will remain that way even if you lose weight, which will be lost from the entire body. It is often hard to accept the body we have, but one thing I do know....you are much more focused on your perceived flaws than others are. So try to develop an attitude of acceptance by focusing on your good points, and remembering that no one is perfect, everone is in the same predicament.

I personally love women with your thighs! But a good way to thin them down is to run a couple of miles a week. But why slim down beautiful legs?

You should go to a third world country and see what kind of conditions people live in there. Then quit whining about your trivial problems.
