No, the ideal temperature is room temperature. About 60 degrees would be perfect.
Only white wines and champagne need chilled.

Lot's of myths about red wines that they must be served at room temperature.....FALSE!!!! Like white wine, red wine has a preferred drinking temperature (can can vary slightly per wine), it is NOT room temperature, as some may believe. Here is how to serve it at the perfect temp. Place the bottle in the fridge for 20 minutes before serving. This will chill it ever so slightly to the perfect temp (approximately), without it being cold. Red wine can be served at room temp, but is not a requirement. White or Red, a good way to test a wine is to drink it at room temperature. If it's good at room temp, then it's a good wine. Cooling the wine, to the point of being cold, is a trick you can use to make a poor tasting wine (but not one that's gone bad or turned) taste better. Enjoy!

it's strictly up to your preferences. actually, contrary to Taina's beliefs, reds are usually served at 50-65 °F or 10-18 °C. that would be "slightly chilled" on account of room temperature being 68-74 °F. whites are served "chilled" at 45-50 °F or 7-10 °C. did you detect pretentiousness in my answer? good.
