The best brand of wireless controller for the PS2 is Logitech. I don't remember seeing a Wireless controller made for the PS2 by Sony.
I bought my PS2 wireless Madcatz controller probably about 2-3 years ago and I think that I paid $39.99 for the controller brand new, but I don't know if the price has dropped on it or not.
The Logitech PS2 controllers were $59.99 I think, but the price on them probably has dropped, but I'm not sure.

Its best to buy the ones that were made from sony, they just came out, I don't know how much they cost though.
