If you're asking why so many of us don't believe you can be both Christian as Wiccan, the answer is to look at the core beliefs of each. They contradict each other. The most obvious problem is the monotheism vs. polytheism issue, but it goes far past that. The way the two religions view the world and human experience are really contradictory. There is no set of beliefs that I have ever seen described that I would label both Christian and Wiccan. You might be Christian with some Wiccan influence or Wiccan with some Christian influence, or you may have something entirely different that was influenced by both, but you can't practice something that is terribly true to both Wicca and Christianity.

I'm pretty sure you can't be a fundie Christian and Wiccan but I guess you could be Gnostic and Wiccan. Gnostic's tend to see everything more as an allegory than literal truth you have to believe.

Do you mean people who call themselves Christian Wiccans? Well, let's see. Christians believe in one god, Wiccans believe in many gods. Christians have the concept of hell and sin. Wiccans have neither. Wicca is about honoring nature and the belief that we are part of the organism called Earth, or Gaia. Christians decry this belief. Enough for you?

well, there are those on both sides of these religions who enjoy feeling superior to the other side. this is the nature of religion. it often encourages collectivism. when, in reality, a religion should be chose by the individual. So, if you want to honor Christ through wiccan rituals, or mother nature with christian ones, go right ahead..... anyone that says you can't is somewhat intolerant.

Well in modern times it's an oxymoron because modern Christianity (especially the fundie and evangelical kind) dictate that witchcraft and anything related to it is against the bible because of some bible verses. But if you noticed the bible is very open to magick and paranormal experiences.
And early Christianity was actually closer to pagan ideals than modern times.

People can call themselves whatever they want. But once they no longer need to define themselves they are closer to Divine Energy--if that is their goal.

christianity is exclusive, but wicca acknowledges all gods and goddesses, so they're not mutually contradictory.

There is no such thing as both. You can't be both. At all. No exceptions.
You are one or the other. Period.
