what's your question?
are you asking what you should say to him?
well there is nothing that you can do like you said it's his hair. and if your going to let something so small as dying hair that can be dyed back bother you then its not right.

Are you being totally forthcoming? Is your bf wanting purple hair the only thing going on? If that's all there is to it, for heaven's sake, let the boy turn his hair purple and be done with it! What difference does anyone's hair make in the Grand Scheme of things? If having purple hair makes him happy, so be it! If he's showing signs of wanting to be weird in other ways, that's the time to be *worried.*

Wow...that's brave, outgoing, and pretty neat he's comfortable with his individuality. That's great! Perhaps he's testing you and waiting for what type of response your going to give. I wouldn't worry at all, just respect his individuality. The worst thing that could happen is he will learn his decision may not have been a good idea. Therefore let natural consequence be his lesson. He'll either like it, or change it color. It will prove to be an interesting adventure for both of you...a memory to share that is sure only to bring laughter down the road. Thanks for asking!

Don't worry about it, really... it's a phase. And if he likes, it just support him. A few weeks ago my boyfriend decided he wanted a mohawk, and that's exactly what he did. I decided to step back, and let him do what he wants (I even cut/style his hair for him now!). Be supportive. Just remember that he's your boyfriend, and it is his hair. Tell him exactly how you feel, but don't try to force or guilt him into changing.

Depending upon how old he is, he may be having an identity crisis. People like to try new things to either fit in or to impress themselves and others. Try not to get too upset over it.

Give him your opinion. If he doesn't agree with it, let him be. There might be a possibility that he might not like it. If he does like it and does plan to change his hair, I think you'd eventually grow into it. Besides, his hair is not what you like him for right?

Maybe you can suggest getting a color that will wash out in case you guys don't like it. They have stuff like that at a beauty supply store.

It doesn't really matter. Hair is superficial. Are you going out with him because you like his looks or his personality?
