Ok, so when I asked this question:
"Why are religious people so afraid?", I was told it's not out of fear, but out of love that they worship god.

Then, when I asked this question:
"Is it wrong to force your love on someone who doesn't want it?", I was told NO, that it's called stalking and you can be arrested for it. Furthermore, "If the recipient can't say "no." They're not really being given room to say "yes" either."
Then I asked:

"Is there proof that god actually accepts your love?", and I was told people don't have a direct way to prove god accepts their love....that there's no way to know. Also, " I'd say that there is no "proof" ".

So, if you worship not from fear but love, and giving someone endless love without permission is stalking & illegal, and you have no proof that your god even wants your love (can't say neither "yes" or "no")......should you be arrested? Or at the least, realize that worship gets you through the same life as those that don't?

Alan B, duh...I know, I asked the questions....I don't really do that, it was hypothetical as a purpose to prove my point.

Alan, I dont' need help....It is possible to debate about things for which you don't behave like. What do I need help for anyway? Using religious people's own answers to prove them wrong?
It takes a truly strong mind to entertain thoughts without submitting to or acting upon them.....this has proven too tough a challenge for the religious minded.

Stop being too logical with Christians. Most of them do not think that way. They just simply read and follow whatever the Bible says.
If they desire to be a loving, kind and genuinely good person, they focus more on the words and life of Jesus.
If they want to be a hateful and judgmental person they focus more on the Old Testament.
However, this does not apply to ALL Christians. I have Christian friends who do not fit that stereotype.

Decent reasoning. But you took in it the wrong direction.

Deists claim that God actively solicits our love. Faith is all the proof they need, so your argument doesn't hold. In the absence of a complaining witness, and God is worse about respnding to subpeonas than any member of the Bush Administration, there's no basis for Prosecution.

BUT:

Deists believe that everyone should worship their God. And when and wherever they have had the political power to make it so, they have enforced it with the power of Law, under threat of imprisonment, torture and even Death.

Christians today lobby for mandatory school prayer. They want "Morality Based Laws" to compel or forbid things that Christians do or refrain from as a show of their love for God.

There's nothing wrong with showing love. But we all know what an act of Love becomes when it is performed under threat or compulsion.

So, it can be said, with some justification, that the Churches are guilty of attempted Rape and Conspiracy to commit Rape, except for those cults where they've actually succeeded with the children of their members.

To truly worship God love is needed, for God first loved us.
To care for someone, there must be love.
Deuteromony 6:5; 1John 3:3-24; matthew 5:43-48.

Fear:
In Scripture, the fear of God is reverence for Him and His laws [ Genesis 20:11; Exodus 20:20; Acts 9:31;
Philippians 2:12; ].

We are made in the image of God, what more example of love can there be, we are unique, and He loves us unconditionally, and the more love we show towards Him the more blessings we recieve, the Bible says to draw nigh unto God and He will draw nigh unto you. John 3:16, For God so loved the World, If He didn't want our Love why would He love us so much, think about, He spoke the world into existance, He could have made it anyway He wanted it, He is the potter and we are the clay, The most important thing here is if you are a believer in Jesus Christ, Have you been born again? Have you confessed to him you are a sinner and gave your heart and soul to him? If not you can do so right now, just pray this sinners prayer of faith and you canbe born again and start a new life with Jesus as your Saviour right now, just pray Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you made a decision for Christ or have any questions, Please send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

Where did you get the idea that God does not want nor accepts the love of those who believe in Him???

That would totally invalidate: "for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son..."

You have to stop listening to the people with brain damage...I can love someone from afar...it has nothing to do with needing physical contact...love is an internal emotion that does not need an exterior display of affection...nor does it require reciprocation in order to exist....and the person I love would never know how I feel...

there is in basic terms one God. Muslims call him Allah, yet he's the comparable God whom Christians, Jews, Hindus, and anybody else worships. there are a number of prophets whom God has sent at diverse circumstances in heritage while he felt that it became into mandatory, yet all the prophets have been sent by making use of the single divine God. As a Christian, i believe that Jesus is the savior of the international. i believe that His message is the kindest and the message finished of the main love, and for this reason the main properly matched with God's plan for earth. this is my opinion.

Here is the question you referred to as cut and pasted:

"If someone didn't want your admiration, is it ok to continually lavish them with gifts and praise and follow them around continously tell them that you love them? Or is that out of line?"

You're twisting things to suit you. You're being dishonest with yourself and it looks like you're trying to justify what any judge will tell you is illegal. Call and ask one.

Edit. WOW! You've proven nothing except you have a hard time with reality. Instead of embarassing yourself further, seek help.

Well... There's a difference between letting someone know that you love them and forcing your love on someone. Pure and simple, worshiping God is letting Him know that we love Him. As a Christian, I don't need proof that God loves me, I believe in my heart that He does, and that is good enough for me. The extreme Christian fanatics that blow up abortion centers, or commit mass murder in the name of God... THAT could be considered as forcing love, because I am quite sure God wouldn't want that sort of fanatical behavior associated with His name.

I saw both your questions, now I see where you are going with them. God does not force Himself on us even though He does loves us. Like a parent loves a child, but a child can hate a parent, it is a choice. God calls us to Him because He knows that we need Him to help us through this life and to set us free from satan.

What's the point in answering again? ... so you made spelling mistakes - the answers won't change.

I get the feeling that you are one of those people that no matter how good the answers are you'll be declaring a decisive victory anyways. Again, what's the point?
