paralysis is not a "danger" regarding chiropractor. medical mischief at work. No chiropractic has the strength to paralyze.

People are not afraid of chiropractors, they're leary of the unscrupulous ones.
If I have a serious problem I want to know what's going on inside of me, if someone stats manipulating my bones and muscle, he/she could create terrible damage without knowing what's happening inside me.
I went through acupuncture and chiropractor massage, to no avail, why ? no one took X-Rays, MRI's or ? I had four vertebra's that were crushed, I had to be carried in but, that didn't seem to bother them.
I couldn't walk but, they ignore my cries of pain, and then, they sent me a bill. I sent it back and never heard from them again.
I went back to one with I know it was a lower groin hernia hoping to get a brace. He put me on a vegetable diet, totally ignored my pleas of pain and further consultation and sent me home. I had a huge bulge that he didn't see to know what it was.
I was a MedLab Technologist at the time, a supervisor and he ignore my ideas as to what it was. By the way I had about three more years of schooling then he did and he took that as arrogance, the way he acted.
Chiropractors are good for sore muscles and over doing it around the house, not serious injuries.

There are too many people in the drug profession that want chiropractic out of the picture, because you can't sell drugs to healthy people!! They make a big deal out of every screw up chiropractors do, just to make the profession look bad.

I've never heard of anyone being afraid of chiropractors. Dentists, yes. Maybe they just don't "believe" in chiropractors helping their ailment.

The reason that so many people are afraid of them is because of the kind of work that they do with trying to manipulate the joints and such. The fear is especially in place when it comes to trying to treat back and neck injuries because if the manipulation is done the wrong way there's risk of paralysis.
There was an episode of a program that used to air on PBS that talked about alternative treatments that touched on the issue of chiropractors and how they work. It also went in to the problems that can occur from chiropractic treatment. One of the things they mentioned was about the paralysis issue because of the cracking type sounds from the treatments.

Because if they do not diagnose or treat a problem correctly their 'adjustments' can cause for greater damage. Trust orthopedic doc's for orthopedic problems.

Not good to go to these types of doctors, trust me on this one!! I have so much arthritis in my body from being hit by a truck, and it is very painful, very very painful some days worse than ever!!! These doctors have screwed-up my sisters back so bad, she's terrified to ever go back!!! I'd never go to one, never have, never will either!!!

They deal with sensitive parts of the body...your joints. Arthritis difficulty stems from your joints therefore many fear by over exerting them can cause damage in the future.
