The thing is, behind closed doors, most teachers (especially the younger ones) are quite a troublesome lot themselves.

Because the job used to command respect and receive good manners.
However the recent generation of losers who have become (so called) teachers have debased the entire profession.
They want respect because that is what they were told teachers received - however they fail realise that teachers were respected because of the work they actually did, not because of their title.
I don't really blame teachers for being rubbish, they are generally good people - but they receive and follow orders from complete idiots.

Late assignments and texting are signs of disrespect and immaturity...once you get into the real world you will see that...they are simply trying to teach you it is not appropriate. Better to learn these things now than be in for a culture shock when you get into the workforce...they are not tolerant like a teacher is...you have to act like an adult to be treated like one.

When you act like an adult you'll be treated like one. Adults take their work (for school and for their jobs) seriously. They pay attention when a professor or boss is speaking and turn in assignments on time. They do this because they know that if they don't, they'll just be out of their own money and time or a job. Anyone with a job will tell you that text-messaging before a meeting or turning in an assignment late can get you reprimanded or fired.

Etiquettes is a sorely lacking dimension in all the community. Its a simple language of requirements for engendering harmony and cohesion among all.Perhaps it is imperative for every student to study and implement the advices and direction offered by teachers, parents, elders etc...!?

Because today's teachers are having to compensate for the lack of children's parental training and example. In my young days Mums and Dads taught us how to behave in a civilised and responsible manner. Teachers could then concentrate solely on the syllabus.
Are you blaming your teachers or your parent(s)?

Because without EITHER of these, you, and all your other little rat faced friends will turn into doleseeking miscreants with a kid or two by the time you're 19 with separate fathers and enjoy getting beat up for kicks.
Listen to your teacher. Speak politely.
And you'll not turn out like me

If you acted like adults, you'll get treated like them. Late essays - say no more. Texting in school - you're there to learn, including correct spelling and grammer, not play about with your unneccessary mobile toys.

Why do you want to be treated like adults??
Plenty of time for that. I'd carry on being a child if I were you.
Not that you'll listen..
