I am in America at the moment and the PS3's are $500 which is £250 for the premium, much cheaper than the UK.

My question is, will it work in the UK?. I dont really want to play games on it buy want to watch the blu ray movies. Are the movies the same in the US as in the UK?

Thanks

No. UK and US have different region coding on BluRay Movie/Video disc - so you can't play UK BluRay disc on US PS3. However, Playstation 3 has no region coding on games - which means you can play any games from any regions on your PS3.

You'll be able to play PS3 games, they are rgion free, but you won't be able to play PS1/2 games and movies. You'll need a power converter too (500W). Make sure, that (if you plan to use standard TV) yor TV supports NTSC signal.

Don't really know, but I don't know if the power outlet is the same.
