I just had a Alpine CDA-9884 CD Receiver installed in my 94 Eldorado and as soon as i it got installed there was static with the AM, FM, CD player, and everything else. The static gets worse when my car starts to move. Does anyone know why this is and how to fix it?

Alternator whine. Grounding the chassis of the stereo usually fixes the problem, if not a noise filter (inductive type) that wires between the stereo and battery (fuse panel) may help.

Better check with the person who installed your receiver. Sounds like a disconnected ground wire.

It means that you are receiving some sort of electrical interference. You need to check your ground cables, and any other cable you moved or modified.

Remove that Alpine CRAP and reinstall the high quality DELCO radio that came free with your car!

check the ground, your spark plugs to make sure the are resistance plugs and take it back to whomever installed it.
