what is bd dvd... what plays this type?

it does not play hd dvds but it plays blueray dics and regular dvds

PS3 has gone with the Blu Ray option rather than HD, so the you won't be able to play HD DVD's on your ps3, sorry!

No, Xbox plays HD and you have to spend about 150 bucks more if you want the xbox to do that. PS3 only plays Bul Rays and regular dvds. I think blu ray is better though.

PS3 does not play HD DVDs it plays Bluray disks. To play HD video you need a HDTV and a HDMI cable

PS3 has a blu-ray disc player built-in. It plays Blu-ray discs and the system is valued at one-thousand dollars. Pretty good deal because the PS3 is about five-hundred dollars?

PS3 plays Blu-ray discs (BD-DVD), but it doesn't play HD-DVDs. BD-DVD format is a winning one.
